「My husband and I came here for an overnight stay to celebrate my birthday. We were greeted by Fiona the receptionist who was so welcoming and very friendly. She was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble in asking for anything. We loved our room which was spacious, clean and very cozy! We both had a good nights sleep too. 「As we had a full day on Friday, leaving home 5-am.visiting varios towns en-route,our last visit of the day was Burton--on --Trent ,to have an overdue meal before making our way to The Beeches . 「The location is great, very close to our friend’s house. The room is nice with a balcony. Good for business or trip to stay.」

「Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh! We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

「Super stay - high quality furnished room, and quiet late on, despite the vibrant atmosphere at the adjoining pub. Only thing I could perhaps find fault with would be the high tog rating for the duvet (which made for a rather warm night !)」
