The Melia Makassar is one of the most affordable yet inclusive high end hotels in Makassar. Staff very friendly, and always willing to accommodate needs of customers

Very friendly and helpfull staff. The local Masques loudspeakers start before dawn, they are not overly loud inside, but still woke up when they were playing. Breakfast was adequate with many choices. We would stay here again as there is no escape from the Masques loudspeakers.

Breakfast was impressive, gym and pool were great, staff are very friendly. I forgot my phone adapter so the hotel loaned me one then the concierge drove me to the store so I could buy one. That is going above and beyond my expectations!

Lovely all around! Level upgrade is worth it.

Stayed on The Level and the upgrade was definitely worth it. We loved the free breakfast and cocktail hour! The room was comfortable, staff were friendly, and location in the middle of the city was ideal. Our only nitpicky criticism is that we wished the fitness center had sanitizing wipes to clean the equipment after use. Otherwise, truly a great stay.

Excellent Service made up for the rest.

The hotel seems to had recently been refurbishment & room which i got was good with proper furniture. The hotel staffs service was excellent especially the gals from executive level. Other then the service, it's rather disappointing for a brand like Melia to have such old towels & basic toiletries. The dressing area seems to show age & there's some weird smell initially whenever you run the shower tape.
