Experience the thrill of standing at the top of Frankfurt’s diverse skyline from one of the two observation decks in this modern tower.

Frankfurt’s city center merges old-world charm with towering modern architecture to give the city a fascinating skyline. Climb to the top of one of the city’s tallest buildings for a breathtaking view of the financial capital. Maintower is nearly 656 feet (200 meters) tall and is the fourth-tallest building in both Frankfurt and Germany. Two observation decks make Maintower the only building in the city with a viewing platform. Bring your camera to capture panoramic cityscapes or visit for dinner high above the city streets.

Completed in 1999, Maintower is a bold work of modern architecture. Comprising of two towers, most people recognize the taller, circular tower for its glass façade. At the time of its construction Maintower was the only building with an entirely glass exterior in the city. Capture photos of the building from below before venturing inside.

Notice the art hanging in the foyer. Maintower is home to the Helaba Collection, a diverse collection of contemporary art. See a video work by American artist Bill Viola and an enormous mosaic called Frankfurt Steps by Stephan Huber in the foyer.

Take the elevator to the 53rd floor to dine at the restaurant and lounge. Enjoy fine dining at 614 feet (187 meters) above the city streets. Reservations are recommended for dinner, however, those wanting a drink in the lounge will have no problem walking in without a booking.

Continue to the observation deck for a longer look at the city beneath you. Feel the wind on your face as you peer down from the top of the tower.

Maintower is located in the heart of Frankfurt’s financial district and can be reached on foot or by train from most central locations. Admission to the tower foyer is free of charge, however, an admission fee applies to visit the observation deck. The tower is open every day of the year.
