「The highlight of our stay was meeting local Boer war expert and historian Rob Milne, who is based at the museum on site. We spent an immensely enjoyable hour and a half chatting about history and the remarkable stories that took place in SA. 」

「Security, the back door had no key and this could compromise security especially to us visitors not familiar with the place. For the thtee beds room accommodating 6 people consider putting a door between the bedroom and bathroom. We were only comfortably use the toilet whrn kids were asleep 😄 or outside the room. Need clear explanation on the meaning of Bed ane Breaksfast as we were told this is optional and not included in our pacjage.. Good amd friendly workers. We will visit again soon.」

「Very attractive grounds and rooms. Very attentive staff. The food was excellent including the buffet style breakfast. We really enjoyed our staff and would recommend the hotel」

「Well this looked like a back house for maids. The 2nd bedroom light had no on and off switch so my kids had to sleep with their light on. We were 4 guests, but they had only placed 2 small cups for coffee. The doors inside were actually cupboard doors. The heater was a normal 2 bar heater instead of the aircon that was there. Definitely not worth the price」

「My husband and I had the time of our lives 😍 the place is clean, food amazing and a bar which made our visit extra fun. Great place to gather on New Year’s Eve, great company with strangers. Hospitality of both the owners and staff ❤️will definitely make a return」

「The rooms were clean, the staff was great, the pool needed cleaning but it wasn’t bad. My only problem was that the guests were very loud in the early hours of the morning and were playing their persona speakers. I called reception and was promised they’d fix it but it wasn’t. I just wish the crowd control was managed but it’s ok. 」

「Very primitive hotel without the air conditioning though the web site of Hotels.com said "air conditioning". There was the frog in the bathroom. However the people there were good and friendly. It will be Ok if you want to experience the primitive life of the local South African. Otherwise you'll be disappointed. You experience the hundred years ago primitive life. Don't expect the modern life comfort. The African local dance show is great.」
