"This is a nice property near Phabeni gate of Kruger National Park, which is just a 6 minute drive. Akani is a great host and if you need anything he will bend over backwards to help! You can park right next to your chalet, which is very helpful. - I personally hate lodges where you have to park a distance away! - There is a pub nearby that gets noisy at times, but if you run a fan it drowns out the noise. The property is very close to the main road and is very safe! "

Sabie River Bush Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"We had a lovely stay at Sabie River in cabin 2. The staff were absolutely amazing, our car was washed daily, and nothing was too much trouble. The view from our patio was stunning, we saw elephants daily. One tip, take cash as the staff rely on tips which you contribute at the end of your stay and they share it out, you can't add it to the bill."

Ashbourne Country Escape

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed 3 nights and what a truly amazing place to stay. Beautiful and super comfortable rooms - huge with lots of amenity. The sundowners lounge overlooking the sunset was truly stunning. The food - both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The pools (we had a private plunge pool) as well as the main pool were beautiful. Best of all the staff were brilliant and could not help enough. Joan (Manager) was lovely, Charles (does everything - garden maintenance, waiter, reception etc), and on and on, everyone was friendly and so helpful. The property offers great views over the Hazyview area and Kruger, and owing to the top of the hill position captures both sunrise and sunset. We really hope to be lucky enough to return and will tell everyone we know what a truly special place this is."

AM Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"We had a great stay at AM Lodge. Shepherd helped carefully coordinate logistics regarding pickups, meals, and even an excursion to Kruger National Park. Benjamin was an outstanding guide for our morning and evening game rides, looking for paw prints and signs taking us to lions, giraffes, rhinos, impala, zebras, and more - seeing animals up close was an amazing experience! Our accommodations (Superior Suite #8) overseeing the reserve had a phenomenal view of the river and nearby mountains. The outdoor patio was such a serene and perfect spot to relax during the day. Thanks to everyone at AM Lodge that made our stay feel special!"

Angels View

8/10 Good

"Architecture and location are outstanding. Truly amazing. The Grotto suites are stunning. The views, to die for. The downsides are that the building is in need of a bit of maintenance with chipped and scratched plaster abounding. Our fridge was not clean but the linen was perfect. Lack of stair lighting to go to the main function areas is not great. Food in restaurants was good with large portions and welcoming, helpful staff. Highly recommend as a Kruger Park journey stop-over."

Leopard Hills

10/10 Excellent

"If there was a six star rating I would have given it! Room was superb. Staff were real friendly and could not be more caring. Johann our guide was excellent with a great knowledge and attitude! Food was plentiful and tasty!, animal sittings more than we expected. Leopard, lion. Cubs, wildebeest. Elephant. Hyena. The list goes on and on!"
