Amazing Stay at Smartr Hotel – Highly Recommended!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at Smartr Hotel. The apartment was incredibly modern, cozy, and spacious – overall just fantastic! It was beautifully designed and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location was equally impressive. Situated on a charming street with plenty of cafés, bakeries, supermarkets, and more, it had a very local and welcoming vibe. It was only about 10 minutes away from Gran Vía, which was perfect – close enough to the city center, but just far enough to escape the crowds and noise. I will definitely rent this apartment again in the future and would wholeheartedly recommend it to friends and family. A true gem in the city!

I lived everything about the property. But we couldn’t check in on time because they forgot to send us the link to check in. They send us the link at 3:35 and normal check in time is 3 o’clock. They knew we were waiting but things went wrong. Next day water heater went out but they fixed it thankfully. Next day the internet kept going off and on and kept messing with the key link. So we had to get an actual key to open the door. Other than that loved the property and staff of the hotels.

The property itself was beautiful, clean. Great location walkable to restaurants, shopping, transit etc. our room was over an hour late which was unfortunate bc I had small tired children. We booked an apartment with 2 bedrooms and a pull out couch to sleep 5 people. 1st night we tried to pull out the couch and it wouldn’t come out then was crooked and collapsed when my son tried to sleep on it. There were springs on the floor and under the couch. We contacted reception who continuously asked us if we were opening it correctly and told us maintenance wasn’t available at 11pm. We had to put my son on the floor on some pillows. We were assured in the morning maintenance would come to fix it. The next day we went out & returned late in the evening after our excursions. The couch was not fixed, someone simply had come over to fix it but just closed it up it seemed. 2nd night we tried to open it again and it wouldn’t open and in fact was worse. I spoke with the reception and after arguing for 40 minutes telling them it won’t open even though they insisted it was fixed, I threatened to go down to reception & demand to speak to a manager & they finally called an emergency maintenance guy. He came & even he couldn’t open it … I’m Portuguese & understood when he even said it was broken. My son didn’t have a bed again. After arguing we were offered a 50% refund for our apartment. So if you’r getting a room for 5 make sure to check the pull out. All parts of a room should be working!

I loved the location of this apartment. Walking distance to many places. Didn’t like that there was no room service unless you stayed longer than 7 days. And if you did stay longer than 7 days you had to schedule a service call. Not sure if this is required but the person communicating through what’s app with me kept on insisting to send them a picture of all of our passports when I had entered them when I first checked in. Not sure if it was a scam but I didn’t feel comfortable sending anyone a picture of our passport.
