The Econo Lodge in Lynchburg was very nice. The staff were helpful and our stay was pleasant.

Econolodge clean with friendly staff
Just stopped over for the night en route to the Blueridge Mountains. Hotel Manager was lovely, very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and our stay was very good.

The motel was great. One complaint was when we checked in around 10pm, the clerk had us check in through a pane of glass. It was pretty cold standing outside. Perhaps the neighborhood was not safe, but it would have been nice to have been invited in for checking in.

Close to the highway friendly staff
Inside the hotel rooms were good. Very close to highway.....and other restaurants. Warm breakfast served. Manager audrey was very friendly. Had a great visit without spending too much

Great visit to this EconoLodge
Great access from the highway. We were also very impressed with the warmth and cleanliness of our room. It was very comfortable. The room always smelled great when we returned. The hostess (Audrey) when we arrived and during our stay was so kind and friendly—she was funny also—making her guests laugh. I felt bad for her as she had been there 37 hrs straight—not being able to go home to sleep—even though she was very tired—she did an excellent job—always attentive to her guests. They do need to get extra help as one person cannot handle everything for everybody for so many hrs/days straight. If we go back to visit that area, we will stay there again.

Sorry that you felt your room was musty smelling . wish you would have let me know . As the manager here I would have corrected that fast or would have moved you to another room if I would had one open . If you find something wrong here at our hotel please bring it to my attention so I can correct the issue , fast . upon reading this review on your next stay you will be getting a 20 % discount on your room charge . Worth it
The people at the desk were nice, the room was clean, and the price was fair. I couldn’t ask for anymore well worth it. I will stay again

Thank you for your review. As the manager here at Lynchburg Econolodge . I would like to apologize for the confusion , for our guest that are security guards that are being house here for the jobs . They no means of a police office . They are security guards for a company . But let me say . If I do need Lynchburg police here , they are very prompt to get to us. in case of any emergency. or maybe a guest has lock them out of the vehicle . I am sorry you feel the way you do about the police . looking forward to your next visit

Not for breakfast.
Breakfast was a disaster as the power to the kitchen area kept going out when waffle maker and toaster were both on. The breakfast room was clean, but the hot food was not fresh and the area feels very cramped (it is very small- juice machine is in the hallway). Parking lot was icy. The room itself was clean with dated fixtures; very serviceable.

I assure you our breakfast is fresh. and she refresh every 15 minutes . and for the power going off .it was due to the weather . Our parking lot was a little icy for a little bit . I as the manager . myself Salted the side walks coming around our hotel and I did get the snow plow here as quickly as I could . We are sorry that you felt this way . As the manager I will be giving you a20%DISCOUNT ON YOUR NEXT STAY.

Decent, basic, typical motel.
Perfectly fine Mom & Pop type motel. Clearly an older building, with everything that entails. Door didn't shut tightly so light came in around the edges, concrete balcony edges were deteriorating a bit, HVAC was pretty loud without an option for low fan speed. Good pillows. TV channel choices didn't seem very premium, and the whirlpool bath that the hotels.com page indicated the rooms had wasn't there (must have been in certain ones and I wasn't paying enough attention). Didn't hear any noise from adjacent units but I don't know that any were occupied. Front desk service was everything it needed to be, totally helpful. Only stayed one night so I can't really say about the housekeeping other than that the room was clean and neat when we got there. The provided breakfast was the typical cereal/bread/coffee/fruit with sausage gravy and biscuits for the hot portion (waffles when the place has more guests, but not when we were there). I'm giving middle ratings because it was right in the middle as far as places I've stayed.

Some recent upgrades have made the hotel seem new. This is the best of the low price hotels in the area.

Nice hotel close to Liberty University
It was a nice, simple hotel. I wasn't there for thrills, but I want it to be clean, affordable and have nice staff. This hotel had all the above. It was reasonably priced, close enough to Liberty University. The lady at the front desk was very personable and took good care of you. I think her name was Audrey. Nice lady. they had a nice breakfast area for you in the morning. I'd stay there again.

Pleasant from the moment I walked in the door
It was nice clean and quiet. Staff (especially Mrs. Audrey❤)gave excellent service. I stayed one night and slept great! They did have a hot bar for breakfasts the next morning but all I had was waffles, banana and oj(delicious). My Room was cute comfortable and basic! It didn't have a clock but I always use my cell phone alarm so not an issue for me. I like the fact hotel is right off the exit close to town but parking was an issue when I got back from my event at 2 in the morning. For what I paid I got more than what I expected! I'm Definitely staying again! ❤🤗 Love the renovations to the rooms.

The hotel was ok but the person wandering the halls at 1 am banging on all the doors was terrible. I was out of town on a business trip and needed the sleep, once he woke the ENTIRE floor up the police came and they kept me up the rest of the night. I can not understand how someone on what ever he was on would be allowed to even enter the building and then wander around the halls telling everyone " he was hurt and needed money" at 1 am.

Pleasant Stay
Near a train track but it didn't keep me from sleeping. I don't think the train ran that route often. Outdoor entry, but clean, everything worked, friendly staff and abundant coffee for breakfast

The room smelt like cigarettes and weed. Could hear ever sound. Staff knocked on every door before checkout. Not the greatest area!

Good hotel for the money
the room was clean, and everything was nice. I only had two complaints. I had the "Do not disturb" sign on my door, and housekeeping called me to ask if I wanted room service. that made me mad. I've been working midnight shift before from hotel rooms and had housekeeping do this to me and wake me up. The sign says "Do not disturb", why would you think it would be ok to disturb by calling? my second complaint is just that we ran out of toilet paper our last day.

Convenient hotel with minor issues
We booked a smoke free room, however, when we arrived, the room we were given reeked of cigarrettes. The hotel had no other vacancies, so we were stuck. We had to run the fan at night to aerate the room and the temps outside was in the 30s. At times we stayed out late even though we were tired, just to avoid staying in the room. Had there been another room available, I don't doubt that our experience would have been more pleasant as the staff was friendly and hospitable.

The water in the shower trickled out. Having long thick hair, it took a long time to rinse it out. The bed was a little too hard for me.

nice basic hotel
I enjoyed staying here. While it didn't look like much from the outside, the room itself was pretty nice. The bed was very comfortable and you could tell they kept the room clean. The only problem was the faint smell of smoke that permeated my clothes. It wasn't super strong but it was noticeable.
