「located in the small downtown Lyme Regis, easy to go to the beach, shops and restaurants
it is an very old inn, very tradition english wooden building, downstair is the bar and restaurant, a bit oily smell, beware of no air-con」

「From the very start of our stay to then end we could not fault The Dolphin in anyway shape or form. The room was beautifully decorated as well as the bathroom and had everything you would need.
The restaurant for evening meal as well has breakfast was incredible, the freshness of food was really good quality and fresh ingredients. All staff were friendly from the outset, and were always willing to go above and beyond.

「Nice old building but in need of repairs and updates, room wasn’t particularly clean, old windows with condensation and not be cleaned for a while !
Good breakfast, location not bad but a killer of a hill to get back up at night, was ok as a base but if looking for a special occasion I’d look elsewhere」

「The hotel was really a hostel and did not match up with images on their website. We were expecting to be staying in a country house hotel not a youth hostel. The only facility we had was wifi. The room was clean but very basic with no ability to make ourselves a tea or coffee without walking down two flights of very steep steps to the kitchen which was a health and safety nightmare - no idea why they could not have put a tea/ coffee station on the top floor. There was no television...

「Very close to Charmouth beach
Great freshly cooked breakfast
Ticked all the boxes
Just a note re Charmouth
there were no eateries open after 3pm on the days I was there admittedly out of season in October so either be prepared to drive or have snacks with you」
