"Hi, it was a great hotel. We had to upgrade our room as the one we got faces a dump truck and train tracks. The staff didn’t explain that we had to use our discount coupon at the time of ordering room service and not at check out so we lost that money. Other than that great location and property."

"We have travelled regularly, both nationally and internationally for the last 40 years, and this was the best staff we’ve ever dealt with! The location was also terrific being only 10 minutes from town with gorgeous views of Lake Lucerne. We highly recommend staying there!"

"Excellent location! This hotel is situated right in the heart of old town with easy access to all that Lucerne has to offer. And it has a/c which came in handy during this extremely hot summer. It is a quirky hotel. Luggage barely fit in elevator so we had to take multiple trips. Then we still had to use stairs to get to our room on the 6th floor, as elevator only went as high as 5th. There is no coffee maker or coffee in room. However you can boil water, so bring your own instant coffee or tea. There was a slight snafu when we tried to use self checkin. We had already paid through Expedia but we're asked to pay again in order to get our room key. I stopped the check in process and called the number that was shared with me by the hotel. Thankfully someone answered and was able to correct on their end. It was late on a Saturday so I was concerned that we would be stranded but fortunately all got sorted."

"Hotel location is directly across from Lucerne main train station and tours depart from a nearby bus park, so it’s very convenient. The lobby area is nice, but small. Staff was very good and always ready to help. Our room was small and it was very difficult to squeeze into the shower. There’s bathroom lacked towel bars. There’s no AC and our room faced a courtyard car park, so no breeze. The hotel was acceptable, but if you are staying during hot weather, would recommend finding a hotel with AC."
