This is a bed and breakfast where the owners live on site. They were very accommodating making us feel very much at home. The room was lovely and all the amenities were great. Rose made us excellent breakfasts each morning - such a treat. Her scones are fabulous!! Would highly recommend.

The host was very welcoming and made our stay extremely comfortable. They made sure we knew our way around the house and provided helpful insights on how to make the most of our stay. The breakfast was beautifully organized and we enjoyed a delicious home-cooked meal with great conversation.

The host's are very warm and friendly people. Their home is comfortable and you are welcome to enjoy the seating areas inside and out. The room was perfect and the breakfast was 5 star plus. Fabulous location.

The Rose & Thistle is a gorgeous restored 1914 (if I remember correctly) home. It is comfortable, warm, and welcoming. We had a beautiful, spacious room. And it’s a great location to walk into town. Breakfast’s were amazing. Rise enjoys cooking and baking and it shows with the array of dishes and baked goods. The innkeepers, Rose and George, could not have been any nicer. They go above and beyond. I’ve stayed at many B&B’s throughout our travels and this was without a doubt my all time favorite. I had actually switched my travel plans around just to stay here, and I’m so happy I did.

We had a excellent stay here,house is very nice, it is in a good location and only short walk to town. Nice and clean and give you everything you need. The breakfast was awesome, home baked pastries and hot meal.The owners are very friendly and helpful, would definitely stay here again.

Very welcoming hosts who have a beautiful property. The home is very clean, with gorgeous furniture and decor. House is within walking distance to the main streets in Lunenburg. Hosts have great local suggestions on activities and sightseeing! Rose is an AMAZING cook/baker. Breakfasts were made fresh and according to our food preferences. Had everything we could have needed and more! We will definitely be back! Thank you Rose, George and Julia!

The host and hostess are remarkably friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was superb with fresh fruit and berries, Greek yogurt, a full breakfast plate and the most delicious scones, biscuit and sweet breads. The room was cozy and sweet with all the amenities we would need as well as a welcoming basket. Highly recommend!
