"Management is very poor and discriminatory. My stay was from 3/9-3/15. First one of the elevators certificate expired on January 14 2026 and the elevator functions very slowly and like it needs to be maintenenced. Also, the first set of stairs by elevator 1 the door on the second floor is splintered and destroyed. Breakfast is supposed to be available from 6:30am-9:30am. My first two days there breakfast was either not available at all or started way after 6:30am. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling because there is no fan in the shower area so the bathroom stays damp all day. The card I used to book the room was denied to purchase water at the front desk. There is a sign that says cash app cards are not allowed but I have a chime card which is not the same thing. Then they told me my card might be fraudulent that is why they cannot accept it. All the while they kept asking for my room number which made me uncomfortable because how would that change anything. Would you then say my stay was invalid even though it was already paid for? You won't let me charge the item to the room. You have an updated POS system but you cannot accept tap pay. It is very clear to me that the manager of this establishment does not know how to manage his POS system or any other part of this hotel. I sent a message above to corporate and they submitted a ticket to the hotel. The next day as I was leaving out the manager was glaring at me. I felt very uncomfortable so I checked out early"

"My room was never cleaned. Asked for clean towels and new sheets and housekeeping told me to go down to the front desk. Front desk and management were no help to the matter either as they told me that I would receive what I needed, but nothing was delivered to my room. "

"This hotel was beautiful! Everything was clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming. We celebrated my husband's birthday in the area at Angie's Seafood restaurant which was about 10 minutes away and everything was PERFECT starting with the arrival at the hotel's valet parking attendant to the front desk representative, they entire time of our one night trip was AMAZING! We will definitely be returning back to Royal Sonesta and Angie's seafood restaurant. "

"Pool was down for the 2 days we stayed and the elevators also went down for a couple off hours and we had to walk down and up over 6 flights of stairs"

"Everything was fine. Just surprised there was no breakfast included in the stays it’s unfortunate those with medical issues & concerns must pay out of pocket just to take medicines. That’s not good to leave the premises just to fin an affordable meal. Thank!"

"The hotel itself was nice. The room was comfortable. We had a large group of high school athletes on our floor who were having a good, loud, silly time in the hallway. After 11 or so, they quieted down. The breakfast buffet was mediocre. The staff was friendly. "

"An odd old hotel with outdated rooms, dirty and cracked room window, dim lighting throughout the building, and the need to use room card key to use the elevator (mine stopped working) made for an experience I would not repeat. We were happy to get out of there despite the friendly and mostly knowledgeable staff, a tasty crab cake and a pretty lobby ceiling. "
