Lucerne stay

Great location, especially for us as a stopover for one night. Close to shopping, dining, and the train station. You have to make sure you can access email to get check-in instructions, which can be challenging for international travelers. There is no reception. The rooms are small but clean.

The place is easy to access. The person sends all the information for check in. The room is comfortable, normal for a hotel in Europe. It says it's the oldest in Lucerne but it looks updated. I liked the idea that it was old, the elevator is small but it works and traveling is about knowing and feeling the other country. I liked it. A hotel close to everything.

Great hotel only 10 mins from the train station in Luzern. If you like connection then maybe its not the best hotel for you, but the contactless check in was simple and the service via Whats App was great. The xmas night market was just outside the hotel, which made it very magical. Highly recommend staying here.

Last night we had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Goldener Stern. The room was freshly and modernly furnished, and the digital access made everything more convenient. Located in the heart of Lucerne's old town, the hotel was an ideal base for our explorations. Overall, our stay provided a cozy and pleasant experience in this charming hotel!

The hotel is in a very nice area, convenient for walking around the old town/river area. I was not a big fan of the contactless check-in, would much rather interact with a person for that instead of a computer.

We stayed just one night. Everything is done remotely, no staff on site. Not a bad thing, just didn’t realize that and might not be a great fit for all travelers. Also above a pub with late live music. They left ear plugs for us- but was still a loud evening. Again- the music didn’t bother us much, but travelers should be aware. It was clean and we had enough space for our family of 4.

Great Location but small room

Location is v gd, near old town. Ez to chk in and chk out by ourselves using a kiosk. However, room was small and it can get stuffy. Our 2nd night, there were many insects. We closed our windows but they came in through the bathroom window that was opened.

Good hotel with straight forward self check-in process. Fairly central in Lucerne. Knocking some points off the cleaniness as there was a kettle used by the previous hotel guest that was not clean (i.e. had cloves and tissue still in the kettle). Once this was reported to the hotel management, they quickly replaced the kettle by the time we came back from our day outing.

GREAT option for Lucerne. Just enough distance from the riverfront crowd. Great vibe at the bar downstairs (closes at 12:30). Clean. Parking is right there.

The quad room was very small, but the beds were comfortable. It had air conditioning which was a lifesaver since the temperature was unseasonably hot (90’s) during our week of travel. The bathroom could have been cleaner as there was some mold in the shower. But overall, the hotel was well located, the beds were comfortable, and having air conditioning was a definite plus!
