"This property is a very old building and has been poorly maintained throughout the 15 years. The only plus is that you can take a bus for 8 minutes to a partner hotel "tropical". The mini bar was never replenished during our stay. I would not go back to this hotel."

"Stayed for 6 nights, no hot water. After talking to the desk the 2nd morning they said they would send a guy right up but I had to be there in the room for him. After a half hour he showed up, sat on the toilet with the water running for 20 minutes texting and talking on his phone. after that he said he had to check a machine, I waited another half hour and when he did not come back I went to the front desk. They said that the whole resort was having hot water problems, I explained that I didn't appreciate babysitting their plumber for one and a half hours when it was a resort wide problem, I could have been on the beach enjoying myself instead of sitting in my room. The place is definitely outdated and the shower drain ( cold water ) was partially plugged so you could only run it for a short time before it started to overflow on the floor. The staff were OK trying their best with what they have but if you don't get up at 6 AM and mark your spot there is not a lot of places to lie in the sun with an umbrella. It is not what I would call a high end resort by any stretch."

"AMAZING staff, great food, very very clean. Plenty of activities, beautiful beach. The facilities are a little dated, but VERY well maintained. Welcoming and friendly environment. Talented entertainment staff. Just fyi, there's sometimes a towel shortage, but that's not a complaint, just an observation. There's an adult-only pool and bar."

"The resort was nice. Bar selection could have been better. Room service selection was minimal and wait time was lengthy. Used to servers around the pool and beach area, this resort doesn’t have this. One pool bar for the main area. "

"This stay at Grand Laguna was everything I imagined. Everything I pictured I would do while looking at the pictures, I was able to do. Excellent space, excellent amenities, excellent staff. I am looking forward to my next stay. Highly recommended."
