"This property is set on a very steep street. Walking from bottom (beach access) to top will leave you drenched in sweat given the heat and humidity. The beach has private access but it is a bit far and again very steep. Parking is horrendous due to steep incline and tight spaces. If you love parallel parking on a steep street, you will leave this. Rooms are nice enough and breakfast is excellent. "

"We had an excellent time since we got to the property. Everybody was extremely friendly. We had an amazing time at their facilities. The pool was awesome. Staff was very attentive. Beers were extremely cold so we had an amazing time. I would highly recommend anybody looking for an amazing view to go and stay at this place. It’s very close to everything. "The rooms were clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is noisy with loud music playing until late at night and dogs barking. In the room adjacent to mine someone was having an argument for about 45 minutes. Yelling could be heard clearly in my room even with the door closed."

"We stayed in the toucan suite. It was a beautiful site up on the hill, but the hike up there was a little tough. Stairs were not built for an easy climb. The staff were friendly and helpful, but there were not enough of them. Our biggest disappointment was the food. The breakfast was great, but we had dinner before an excursion and it took forever to get our food. The salad was old and the rest of the food was just ok. Nothing special. They did however, discount our food somewhat when we parted our bill and explained which was satisfying. They also need some more comfortable reclining chairs at the pool as there was not much place for people to relax comfortably. Overall a nice place, but lacking in a couple of areas. It’s too bad because it wouldn’t take much to make it a much more enjoyable experience. "

"AC had trouble in one of the rooms. Asked for it to be fixed and 2 days later still nothing so asked again and they finally got it working. WiFi didn’t work in our room either but it would work if we walked out the front door…. Power went out when it rained several times but only stayed out momentarily. The grounds were nice and the staff friendly but we had trouble with our rooms AC and wifi so we were not too happy but maybe our experience was not typical. It seemed like it should have been nice, so maybe we just had bad luck. The included breakfast was pretty terrible though if I’m being honest. ;)"

"Wide Mouth Frog was an amazing, comfortable stay in Quepos. I got the budget garden twin bed room and it was a great option! I had a comfortable bed in quiet AC, with a hot water shower and daily pool access! I only stayed for 2 nights but they felt like relaxing in a resort; it is an oasis inside the city (I stayed at a more modest guesthouse down the street for the previous 3 nights but the loud fan and no AC was destroying my sanity; in comparison, Wide Mouth Frog was a godsend). I ate the breakfast for the first morning but you can go outside the hotel across the street to Soda Sanchez for a way way way better breakfast for a cheaper price."

"The pool is in need of serious repairs. The air took a long time to cool down. I let the lady at the front desk know but she said it was because it was hot outside. The restaurant was closed. Not a resort. "
