I stayed here for one night during a stopover in LA. One of the main reasons I stayed here is that it is within 5 minutes' walk Hollywood / Highland light rail station, providing easy transport to Downtown LA and then LAX (via the Flyaway bus). I also booked here because of the very reasonable price, which was good value for the area, and the earlier check-in time. Once I arrived, I realised that the hotel is in very close proximity to Hollywood Boulevard, which includes some of LA's main tourist attractions, such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame. There is a McDonalds within 5 minutes' walk and numerous good souvenir shops (I had previously been trying to find one of these without success). Overall, I was pleased with my room, which was better than I was expecting. It is budget accommodation and an older hotel. When I made my booking, the hotel made it very clear that the rooms do not have air conditioning, so this wasn't an issue for me. Also, there are no lifts, so if you're not on the ground floor, you will need to carry your suitcase up the stairs, but once again, this is made clear on the Hotels.com website. The room I was in had a fridge and TV and there was free wi-fi. The only issue I would mention is that my room didn't have any tea or coffee making facilities. However, I hadn't checked this when I made the booking. A cheap $10 kettle would have been handy! Overall though, I was pleased with my stay here and would stay again in the future.
