Muy amable el personal del hotel. Algunos hablan español.
La habitación bonita, comoda y con lo esencial.
En general hace falta aspirar las alfombras de todo el hotel.
Mi novia y yo nos vamos felices.
Muchas gracias Hotel Solaire!

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
The service is good but the hotel needs to be better taken care of. The rooms are clean but the corridors not so much. If I go back to LA, I will probably stay in another area. There are a lot of homeless people and the area is not that nice.
He room was quiet small and cozy. I enjoyed the decor in the room and wouldn't mind staying here again. The neighborhood was quiet when I arrived but no businesses were open within the walking distance.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Too much light coming in the room, no hot water in the sink.
This hotel was very nice inside. The bed was SO comfortable. It is in a shady area but once on the property it is fine. The only super negative thing is the walls are like paper. There is no privacy and we could hear our neighbors talking as if they were in the same room. Even heard some things we didn't want to hear from the room next door in the middle of the night. I was woken around 6 am with doors shutting, the neighbors tv on, and listening to them having a conversation. I would not stay again for that reason.
This has been a go to for me for several years for my DTLA stays. The neighborhood might be a little ragged for some, but I like the vibrancy of it even though it’s a little gritty around the edges. It certainly does not feel unsafe, even late night. Lots of street vendors and food options nearby including the classic LA institution, Langer’s deli/sandwich shop. The 7 minute walk to the Metro station is a big plus for us too. Zero of the 3 ice machines worked during our stay, not a deal killer, just a bit of a bummer. I hate to pay for parking, but a $5 parking fee is perfectly acceptable. Everything was reasonably clean, but certainly not spotless. I’m not sure if they ever completed the remodel, but the rooms that have been remodeled are kind of cool in a funky slightly steampunkish retro way. Overall, from my experience, this place is hard to beat in the DTLV area in the $100-$150 price range.
My stay was jaw dropping, in awed at the common “first impression is a lasting impression” cliche & how it immediately it applied.
From the front lobby with its well decorated, earthy conscious layout theme, to the comforting, energy driven, calm, peacefulness that greets you in the room, this hotel is jewel.
Hidden in the hood, it’s stay will do you good.
Neighborhood is typical modern-day, urban variety-mix, and crime becomes less worried about & noticeably in control. Few blocks away is the notorious MacArthur Park!!! This one DOESN’T melt in the dark. I doubled my stay to 2 nights. Enough said. Kinda’ felt like my childhood neighborhood.
