The room was clean. Had issues getting into the room i was sent the wring code. There was no fan or AC to turn on but the room was not suffocating. only went because power was out in the area i live in. Parking was horrible and I had to wake up other rooms to move cars at 5 am because I was blocked in.

Great stay, clean property, and easy access to the coliseum. I was initially confused about the parking on site but being able to park on site was a big plus. I would suggest clearer instruction on that. When i needed to leave in the morning i got stuck behind another guests car so i had to wait on them to be woken up by my honking and messages from the host. I would suggest making it mandatory for contact to be available to the host because i was 10 minutes late to my appointment.

It was a cozy place - one big bed and bathroom and huge closets. BUT - great full sticked kitchen on its own floor. Absolutely great for the price!

Very clean and nice hostel for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Downtown LA area. Conveniently five minutes from downtown and very easy check in and check out process. Definitely recommend booking at Forty-First place hostel!

First and foremost great value! We had the deluxe suite which had two queen beds and a private attached bathroom. Perfect for a group of women traveling! Clean room and the staff was quick to respond when we needed more bathroom supplies.

Rougher area, but well maintained and secured space. AC was almost certainly not on, in fact we had to double check to see if that was even an amenity offered, in the end we just slept with windows open in hope the wind would help. Room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Absolutely no parking. We went out for dinner and when we came back, we had to park 3-4 blocks away on the main road. In the end, we wouldn’t stay again, but it wasn’t a bad stay for the price we paid. Good local food if you do end up staying. Expect to know some Spanish or have a translator ready.

Property was clean, staff was great. Room was very nice and spacious. Only thing was the parking. It is first come, first served and surrounding area is one with very limited street parking. Plan to take an uber/lyft or park 3-4 blocks away after a night out like we did.

Bring your own cloth hangers, none in closet. Low quality towels but ok. Chair in room had stains, the blinds in the room were dusty, sheets stained and closet wall also had stains. Take off all pillowcase and check your pillows. One pillow had a yellow stain.

The room we stayed at was nice, it has a common area in the kitchen with a recording camera(i guess for security,didn't bother me), shared bathroom with other guest between room 3 and 4, It was only provided 1 full towel per guest, and it was a little stinky and stained, It also would be nice to get some wash cloth and hand towels. I had some issues with the doors lock codes but they were eventually fixed within the hour, overall pretty good we found parking on site which was nice but limited. Just have in mind you are sharing with other people and you can hear everything even music at 1am in the morning heavy heels steps walking up and downstairs,other guest leaving the main door open so don't leave nothing personal in common areas bc anybody could get there. I would stay back in this this place but definitely will get a room with private bathroom next time.
