We always stay at the Encore when we visit family in Venice Beach. The location for us is great, although the area around the motel is a little rundown. The staff is wonderful. Beds are comfy. Parking is easy. The small kitchenette is a bonus. The place is starting to show its age and could do with some paint, small repairs, and sprucing up. But, overall, it's safe, comfortable, and a good deal.

Don’t be deceived by its outside appearance for sure. The manager, Jeff, is an excellent chap and the rooms were well maintained and most importantly, very clean as well. Will pick this nice little motel anytime in future for my short personal stay trip around the area.

The manager was outstanding and attentive. I had a handicap room and it met my needs completely. The shower was particularly appreciated. For the price, I thought it was a great bargain.

Accommodated me after booking the wrong date last minute. Only problem was the lack of a latched lock on the door. Room was nice and clean with a comfy bed. Parking is a little tight if you have an SUV or full size truck.

Nice hotel about an hour from the beach. Close to stores. Reasonably priced and you can walk to get what you need.

Nicely kept older place. Don’t let the outside looks scare you. Staff was very nice. Motel felt very secure. I would definitely stay again.

I wish there had been another electrical outlet by the desk area, and maybe a small light there, but otherwise it was a nice and quiet stay (except for a small faucet drip). Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and the fridge and microwave were appreciated. Walking toward Lincoln Blvd. gets a bit sketchy, with homeless people hanging out, some angrily shouting.
