"I booked this hotel specifically because of the indoor pool and hot tub for my family to enjoy. We arrived and while checking in, saw the pool was closed. We tried asking about canceling our reservation but were told it was not possible due to a no cancelation clause with hotels.com. Rather than pay for a room for nothing, we stayed. On the way up to the room, we noticed renovations were under way, elevator was out of service, there was water damage to the ceiling up and down the hallway. Our room had moldy curtains, a terribly stained toilet seat, the skirting on the air-conditioner was damaged and sticking out. The air conditioning was completely off in the room and uncomfortable. The room did eventually cool down but took a long time. The only concession. If you could call it that, was a taped up sign apologizing for any inconvenience caused by renovations. This should have been disclosed on the booking site. I never would have reserved this hotel had I known it was under construction"

"The hotel needs update bad! When you walked in front door, nice smell but the carpet in hall and stairs needs to be replaced. Also, no elevator, just stairs. Luckily, it was only 2 stories. Our room was clean. No hair in tub or floor in bathroom. Walls in room needs to be painted. Breakfast was not the best, cereal, waffles, not too fresh fruit, bagels and bread. Great location for what we needed for baseball tournament . The bed was comfortable. We have stayed at other Microtel's and this one did not rate near as high as the others. We had trouble with our tv and manager did fix it."

"I am writing to formally demand a resolution regarding my recent stay, which was, without exaggeration, the worst hotel experience I have had in 55 years. The condition of the room upon arrival was unacceptable. It had not been properly cleaned, forcing me to request sheets and make the bed myself. Basic functionality and safety were also lacking: one television did not work, the smoke detector was not mounted on the wall, and the in-room phone was unusable due to a missing cord—requiring me to use my personal cell phone to contact the front desk. Equally concerning was the complete lack of professionalism from your staff. My concerns were not taken seriously, and I was treated with indifference. At one point, while I was actively being assisted, the front desk employee attempted to help another customer mid-conversation, effectively dismissing my issue. I had to firmly redirect her attention just to continue addressing the problem. This level of neglect—both in room standards and customer service—is unacceptable by any reasonable standard. Cleanliness, safety, and basic guest support are not optional amenities; they are fundamental expectations. Given the extent of these failures, I am requesting a full or significant refund for this stay. I expect a response outlining how you intend to resolve this matter. If this issue is not addressed appropriately, I will escalate my complaint through corporate channels and public platforms. I look to your immediate attention."
