We had a great stay at Ember Locke. The property 's design is beautiful and the garden is very pleasant. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was larger than expected and we were also surprised how well the windows blocked noise form the outside. The area is great, both walkable and close to public transport options. Finally, the free coffee offered on our last day was a nice extra.

Hotel was beautiful and the coffee shop and bar were very convenient and great to have access to. The room itself was cozy with a big window you can open and it was nice to basically have access to a functional kitchen. Only issue was our TV remote did not work and I asked the staff each day of our stay to get it fixed and no one was ever able to help me on the spot. They kept asking that I come back the next day each time just so someone could finally find a new battery or a screwdriver to open the back of the remote. Each time it was the same unhelpful response so we ended up with no functioning TV the entire stay for 5 days since there were no buttons on the actual TV. I shouldn’t have to ask 5 days in a row to get a simple screwdriver to open a remote to replace a battery. The staff only offered to get me a free coffee or breakfast, which I didn’t really feel like was a fair compromise considering TV is one of the amenities you pay for and is built into their pricing. Also, the beds are quite small for 2 people which did wear on me after several days - that’s not the hotel’s fault though since they tell you the bed size in the booking, but if you are staying for more than a couple days with a partner you might want to consider a room or hotel with larger beds.

We loved the cute, funky, retro vibe at the Ember Locke and appreciated the kind, helpful staff. The room was comfortable, clean and having a kitchenette was really handy!

This is my second stay at this hotel. I love the location, the wonderful lobby with great coffee and breakfast options, and the nice green backyard. The rooms are very spacious. I travel to London regularly, and this has become my go-to hotel.
