"Nice old hotel in beautiful grounds and parking for your car was very good, the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and efficient and the 3 course dinners were excellent. We had a great room overlooking the gardens the room just needed updating they kept it clean and nicely maintained. Would definitely recommend and go again, it was within easy walking distance to gardens, shops and Derwent water."

"I loved staying in a property that was so old and yet had been made so comfortable. It was a shame that one of the curtains had broken hooks as it drew the eye but the view from our windows more than made up for it. The evening meals were delicious. Location was perfect for us being equidistant to Grasmere and Keswick. Maybe some sachets of decaf coffee?"

"Ideal location within the town of Keswick, the staff were brilliant and the breakfast was very good, the room was a good size but the bed was very creaky and it could do with a new mattress. There is free parking but its made for smaller cars as its really a tight squeeze. Overall we had a great stay."

"Fantastic guest house for the two nights we were there. Very close to the centre for walking, however difficult to park nearby as roads get very busy! Room was very clean and coffee and tea supplied with biscuits. Mattress may need replacing at some point as it slopes on one side and I nearly fell out twice! Comfy, cosy and a good night's sleep had by all 3 of us."

"A great stay, staff extremely helpful and freindly. We arrived with a 6 week old baby and hotel did everything possible to accomodate us. Breakfast was great, in general very enjoyable. Evening meal was very enjoyable though a little on the expensive side tbh. Overall would highly reccommend."
