「We felt right at home from the moment we met Freda outside her lovely B&B. Our room was clean and cool, bathroom was very nice as well. Big TV and coffee & Tea on our table. The house itself is very charming and historic. The next day we were greeted by a hearty and delicious homemade breakfast by Freda, we even got to meet Gypsy! Her sweet doggie. We loved our short time in Dumfries, I hope we make our way back there again. We will definitely be staying at the Huntigdon once more」

「The Hill Hotel was a great. Everything was immaculate . Location was great as well. Less than a 5 minute walk from train station and very close to town. The owners Lynne and Terry were fabulous host. Hopefully going back to Scotland in couple of years and will definitely stay here again.」

「I can’t fault the Sure Hotel in Lockerbie. A beautiful building, fantastic en suite room, very clean and modern. Or host, the manager Glen couldn’t have been more helpful. Plenty of free secure parking and we ended up taking a lovely stroll into Lockerbie for dinner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel, great staff who are so helpful. We’ll definitely be going again. 」

「Aberdour is a lovely little old gem in an idyllic neighborhood, close to the train station. It’s run by the inimitable Amanda, who is the best host I’ve ever met. The place is older, and a bit frayed- but in the way the Velveteen Rabbit is frayed. It’s a lovely old place, simple, clean and cared for, and I was immediately made to feel that I was also cared for. The beds are comfortable. 「I booked 2 rooms, both of which were excellent, very clean and beautifully furnished, recently fitted bathrooms with excellent facilities. The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable in the beautiful location. We really enjoyed our pre dinner drinks by the open fire in the guests lounge and learning about the history as we explored the building. Delicious food, we met the chef who checked our exact needs. We could not find any faults at all with our stay...
