"The staff were excellent - so responsive and fun. Accommodations are basic but clean and a good value. We would stay there again. Close to Fort William but quieter. The highbridge-commando trail is within walking distance and it is handy to have a spar market next door."

"Great stay for the money. Nice balcony overlooking the locks. Parking is easy once understood ( free parking on small roadway across the street). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommend coming before the café and shop down stairs close."

"Excellent hotel ! Very convenient if you want a beautiful properly with amazing meals. The chef is special… besides all the other great dishes, Indian food was authentic. Great selection of alcohol .. we enjoyed G&Ts. Very close to Fort Augustus, great for visiting the Great Glen Gin distillery and Loch Ness ! The location of the hotel is stunning"

"The service was good and we were very happy. However on our first breakfast, the cook came to chastise us for being 5 minutes late! We had requested breakfast at 9.00 am but arrived no more than 5 minutes after 9.00. Then we had to wait 15 minutes for the food."

"Messaging from Hotels.com was inconsistent. In some cases I could not open the message. The 2 step process for getting 2 codes was cumbersome. The hot water was only tepid at best. It was nice to be so close to a cafe both for dinner and breakfast. Parking was fine."
