"Weekend break in the area First time around here and Criccieth is beautiful and the gateway to the peninsula The Lion is in a great spot and all our interactions with staff were fantastic Genuinely nice people. "This is a lovely place to stay. We were well looked after, my gluten free dietary needs were catered for and the staff were very accommodating. The house is old so we expected that the rooms might be ‘quirky’ but we had a dangerous fault with our shower that could have resulted in serious scalding incident. We have informed the managers so they can deal with it. Dinner was 5* as you’d expect in a place with a chef of this calibre - wine and port also excellent. Pricey, but not excessive....

"Lovely house with everything we needed and plenty of space for our group of 7. The location was perfect, close to the beach and the coastal path for beautiful walks. The host was very accommodation and provided any information we needed, and the chocolate buns were very tasty!! There is a nice pub and a small shop within steps of the property and the fish and chip shop is just a short drive away. Thanks for an amazing stay, we had a great weekend! "

Excellent hosts and comfy stay
"Amazing hosts! After a devastating flood (believed to be caused by a guest) this place has had a complete makeover in the dining room ready for re-opening of the restaurant. We were allowed to use it for our takeaway tea with amazing views over the bay. There is a cafe 50 metres away offering breakfast from 8am if you need it. The rooms were of a great size and whilst needing some modernisation, had everything you need and were very comfortable. Highly recommended."
