Nice hotel, reception and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel in general was a little tired around the edges but it was clean and had soft towels! We were in room 9 with a sea view which was much like the sea view in Fawlty Towers but we weren’t there to specifically stare out of the window… and the tv needed switched on and off at the wall because the power button on the remote doesn’t work. Doesn’t sound like much of an issue other than the plug is about 7’ high and I’m only 5’ Breakfast was good!

Hotel was nice a central to local amenties shops etc. Close to the seaside and to local sight seeing and castle. No hair dryer in room as advertised and some masking tape round one of the door frames which showed signs of recent re decoration. No aircon and surroundings noisy some nights early morning deliveries and bootle emptying. Overall would probably stay there again if down that way.

Lion Hotel has everything we required for our weeks stay. An excellent varied evening menu offering choices of both Indian and English dishes. The buffet breakfast offered all the usual fair which the staff constantly kept topped up. Our double room was spacious with clean en-suite facilities. All the hotel staff were pleasant and willing to help you in anyway they could. The bottom line is, yes we would be happy to stay at The Lion Hotel again.

Room was clean and the reception area was lovely. Breakfast was plentiful although the young staff were not very helpful. Lovely beer garden although a bit of a walk from the bar. Not many dinner options unless you like Indian fare. Would stay again as the hotel is of the lovely tow. That is Criccieth.

Room was clean, bathroom could have been cleaner, soap and shampoo in the bathroom was very watery and the TV remote was sticky? Hotel generally was clean, staff are a great strength of this hotel. I was told on arrival that dinner was fully booked until 20:00 so if you want to eat here book in advance. I ended up eating elsewhere. Breakfast was good. Overall a good hotel, I would stay here again
