"Property was very spacious, it was nice having an extra living space/games room for the kids to play on their console. Very clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Lovely surroundings and close to Snowdon. Quiet, even though on a reasonably busy road. The only issues were that the tv had an annoying blue spot in the middle of the screen, the WiFi didn’t reach to the far end of the building where downstairs bedrooms are but 4G signal was good. "The property was spotless, location was perfect, walkable to shops, town etc. street parking we had no issues but might be issues during busy season. Took a minute but figured out the heating, clearer directions would have sorted this out. We were a family of 6 and the property was perfect for us. Kitchen very well equipped, washing machine, had fire place as well. The beds were super cozy. We stayed 3 nights was perfect location to explore the local area. "

The Bulkeley Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"For a taste of the past this grand hotel has all the features. Sitting room with big comfy couches, opposite the pier and a few mins walk from the castle. The room was good (we had least expensive)the bath enormous ( shower above) maybe one too many chairs but slept well and breakfast excellent. The restaurant was also very good in the evening and the Bull’s head the other night can be recommended."

"We had a wonderful stay at Aberdunant Hall Holiday Park. Our suite was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and the whole site was beautifully maintained. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The bar and restaurant area were excellent, and the children’s play area was a real bonus for families. The location is fantastic, surrounded by stunning scenery and within easy reach of some of the most beautiful parts of Snowdonia. We were also impressed by the maintenance and housekeeping teams, who clearly take great pride in keeping the park looking its best. The only small suggestion would be to provide a chopping board in the kitchen area. Fortunately, we had brought a picnic chopping board with us, so it wasn’t a problem, but it would be a useful addition for guests who plan to prepare meals. Overall, a fantastic stay and somewhere we would happily return to. Highly recommended."

"First of all, the landlady was really lovely, and she cooked a great breakfast (not included, but not expensive) The rooms are above a fun pub, with a friendly atmosphere. My room was Very spacious. The water was hot, shower good & there was Liquid hand soap & body wash provided. A Kettle is provided with tea & coffee. The Hote/pub is Right next to Bangor station, with regular buses that run into town, or a 20 minute walk. There was a car park next door too. But the room was pretty tatty, and in desperate need of a lick of paint & some tlc. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, with a thin but sweaty synthetic duvet, & thin pillows. There is no fan or aircon, but the windows open onto the outside seating area and a very busy road so very noisy if opened.. they are double glazed though, so they do shut out a lot of noise when closed The pub plays music inside & outside - fairly loudly (there is actually a speaker outside), although it is turned off later in the evening. Last gripe.. the cups provided were tiny, and there wasn’t enough milk."

"Although nearly 20 years old this hotel is still excellent and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Our room was excellent with only a couple of issues-toilet paper needs to be better, toilet seat needs to be self closing but overall very good. Bottom of interior door very scruffy. Breakfast was good but no fresh fruit available, I need a banana and an apple every day. The reception and public areas are very tasteful and of course the patio and views were magnificent! I would definitely visit again."

"Overall a lovely hotel. Food delicious and not over priced. Spa facilities very good. Room was large, well decorated, comfy bed. Some mold in the shower and a few areas could be cleaned better. Handles in lift loose, one came off in my hand. Would be in lovely surroundings if it wasn't overlooking the abandoned surfing lake which is an eye sore. Not much around the hotel, but Conwy and Llandudno are only a short drive away. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. And I would recommend this hotel for a short relaxing break away."
