If you are looking for luxury lodging this is not it. But it has a very cool and comfortable vibe to it. It was winter when we stayed (June) so we did not use the pool but they were still keeping it clean. The best thing about this property is the service. Property manager (Darius) and his staff did absolutely anything they could to make our brief stay everything we wanted it to be. The property is also very conveniently located to all river/falls tours. Very happy we chose to stay here and will do so again if we are back in Livingstone.
My stay at The Royal Sichango Village in Livingstone was absolutely wonderful! After a last-minute cancellation by another host, booking here turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the incredibly friendly staff and allowed an early check-in, which immediately made me feel at home.
My accommodation was a lovely standalone bungalow - spacious, spotless, and perfectly comfortable. Although it was equipped with an air conditioner, the room stayed naturally pleasant, so I didn't even need to use it.
Special thanks to the property manager, Darius, whose hospitality was exceptional. He and the rest of the amazing team, including Enivia and Roland, made my experience truly memorable with their genuine warmth and attentiveness.
The village's location was ideal—just a short, peaceful distance away from the breathtaking Victoria Falls, yet nestled in a tranquil and quiet area. It offered the perfect balance between proximity to attractions and serene relaxation.
I highly recommend The Royal Sichango Village to anyone visiting Livingstone. It's a gem of a place, enhanced by the genuinely kind and welcoming people who manage it.
I was unable to take up the booking on 23 December because oc tbe unsatisfactory state of the place. As advised to the manager i shall grateful for a refund of fhe money.
Thanking you in advance

Both pros and cons
The place was nice but they suffered from having changed ownership recently(?). Therefore the place has changed name from Bushfront Lodge, but Hotels.com has not aknowledged that so when we arrived they had no booking and no receipt that we had paid. Byt the lodge sorted it out smoothly.
Our biggest complaint is about smell. We were given a bungalow that obviously hadn't been used for quite some time, the room did not smell nice simply. And then later when we used the water it smelled like rotten eggs! However, when we complained about the situation the day after, we were given a nice bungalow without smell and with nice water.
I have never seen a camp so poorly constructed and on the fringe of a mosquito infested swamp. I have travelled extensively all over Africa and have never seen so many mosquitos in my life. I will let you know if i have contracted malaria.
Aldrig mera Bushfront lodge.

This hotel was charming and very authentic. The food is good. Be aware that wifi is extremely slow and only works in the lobby and there are many mosquitoes and baboons passing by. Nevertheless, the staff is very kind and this is a good place to relax.

A pretty bad experience to be honest: no electricity in the evening, generator out of order.
Dinner quality was also not satisfactory.
The place is far from the town.
Overall, poor value for money.

Decent option if you're not staying right at VF
Could be a really great hotel property but it's a bit outdated. The mosquito infestation in the rooms makes being in the rooms VERY unpleasant. There are almost no mosquitos outside on the property. Seems very strange. There was no heat when we were there and the hotel had run out of tanks for the local heaters. Not great. But good location, inexpensive and nice layout.
