Helpful and friendly staff. Clean rooms and public areas and very comfortable bed. (Room 10) Excellent breakfast with excellent, friendly service. The decor and carpets were well worn - even threadbare in certain areas. The soundproofing between room 10 and 11 is poor. Overall a very pleasant, comfortable stay and decent value.

The staff was incredibly helpful and made it feel like we weren't just customers. Breakfast was lovely looking out into the park and the bar had so many options you would be sure to find something that everyone would like.

Nice place although it is very tired. Worn carpets and walls that need painted in the halls. Never had much contact with staff but they were all fine. Room was clean and a decent size. Bathroom needs a new shower as it was poor. Bar was fine. Good selection of beers and o5herbdrinks.

The room, including the bathroom, was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. The food was excellent. All of the staff we came into contact with were friendly, helpful and polite. For a short 2 night stay this hotel was ideal for exploring the area. The hotel could do with a makeover but as a listed building that might not be possible or would be too expensive. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.

The hotel stands in a quiet and pleasant location, easily accessible from the nearby main road and offers good onsite parking. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room comfortable if a touch dated. Corridor carpeting needs upgrading and some paintwork would benefit from attention. No restaurants nearby but evening menu onsite was quite adequate and the full English breakfast was well-cooked and presented, and certainly filling. Good value for money.
