"Finding myself on my own for the holidays, I decided to make a short trip to Mendocino, and area that I love. I checked in on Christmas Eve, and stayed for two days. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I was pleased to have a fireplace, sitting area, small refrigerator and coffee maker. The receptionist at the front (I wish I could remember her name) was incredibly helpful in advising me which places would hold Christmas Eve services, and made sure I had anything I needed. "The cottage we stayed in was very private and cozy. The bed was super comfy and nice bedding too. We asked for a second lamp so we could each read at night and they were very accommodating. The cottage is a little funky/old and didn’t seem 5 star clean, but was very comfortable for our 2 nights there. "

"The hotel ground was very nice and serene. A lot of walking trails to walk around. Our room was secluded and quiet. It was facing the ocean and we had a balcony where we could hang out and watch the sunset. The minor things were that the table in our room was not properly cleaned when we arrived and the heater took some time to heat up the room. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. "
