"We had a wonderful experience at the Miller House! Margaret was so interesting and we felt like old friends the minute we walked in! We stayed in the Captain’s Quarters and had a wrap around deck only accessible from our room. There were shops and places to eat dinner within walking distance in their beautiful village. Margaret made a delicious breakfast each morning and sat and chatted with us. Staying there made our visit to Nova Scotia so much warmer and welcoming!"
"We stayed in Room 7, a big beautiful room with a comfy King bed. There were two luggage racks and a rack on the wall for our hanging clothes. We had a view. The bathroom is also beautiful and large, well appointed with towels, robes, soaps, even bath salts. The tub was sparkling clean and new looking. The house is a large Victorian, fully renovated with modern appointments, like matching hardware throughout. Decorated in a warm, comfortable, beautiful style with every detail in sync. There were several common rooms where we sat and chatted with other guests. There was an open kitchenette outside our room with coffee, snacks, and a full fridge for our leftovers. We didn't take advantage of the saunas or the waffle robes, but it was nice to see them available. Breakfast was baked oatmeal with spiced yogurt, fruit and granola on top. Fresh baked bread, with butter and jam, too. The coffee was good."
"Originally booked the small cottage but didn't realize it was 2 stories with the bathroom upstairs. We talked to the lady at the front desk who happily changed our room for us.
The new room was perfect. Grounds are lovely with an outdoor patio for the guests to enjoy. We enjoyed a nice cocktail there.
Location is walkable to main Street with shops and restaurants. Also short drive to many wineries. Our favorite was Lightfoot and Wolfville.
The inn probably had the best guest book guide in all the places we have stayed during this Nova Scotia trip.
We would definitely stay here again if we come back this way."
"Very nice room, great view . The only complaint is that there is no elevator in the building. We are older and struggled to carry things up 3 flights of stairs."
"The property was lovely with a nice view, my kids had fun playing basketball. There was also cornhole. The restaurant was beautiful, with great food and drinks. Our room was really nice with comfortable beds"
"We travelled there as our trip was to visit oak island. Very convenient as really close. The room was great. The staff were great and the food was excellent. Awesome place to stay and recommend to anyone."
