「Cute little hole-in-the-wall. Very comfy bed. 」

「Anfangs waren wir verdutzt das der Burghof nicht mehr Burghof hieß . Haben vom Wirt erfahren das der Name am 1.9.19 gewechselt hat. Schlüsseübergabe um 16.30 im Restaurant. Deswegen frühere Anreise nicht nötig. Zimmer völlig in Ordnung. Bei Abreise Schlüssel in Briefkasten. Völlig problemlos. Immer wieder gern !」

「The smells like an ashtray. The air was suffocating. The beds was 2 very small twin beds together that keep separating as we slept. No room service . No wifi provided. No stuff at night. Electric outlets were sparking when you plug a charger. Shower head broken ....😡😠😠」

「Checkin available only 5-8 PM. My room was very small and uncomfortable. The area is worst fior a hotel. My room was kept very cold. To save energy- I normally lik cold but that was too cold. 3% surcharge was added for paying with credit card. The manager is obviously trying to squeeze out every penny for this facility. There were much better options for equal or lower price in the Cologne area but I got stuck with this bad choice.」

「Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem zimmer und der Kommunikation. Alles hat sehr gut geklappt. Das einzige beim Buchen des Parkplatzes wäre wenn man die fahrzeuggrössen nochmal angibt. Denn dies wird beim buchen nicht angegeben und unser Auto kam gerade so ins parkhaus. Vorallem da die parkplätze übereinander sind. 」

「The rooms are nice and clean. Feels like a studio. I like the location being right by the grocery store (REWE) and several cafes, bakeries, and dining options. It’s right by the train station. There’s also tons of walking paths nearby. We walked all the way to the famous cathedral. The only down side is there is no one at the reception and it is self check in. My code was not working and my international calling to call the receptionist wasn’t working either. Luckily my husband's phone was...

"I have always chosen the Maritim Hotel because I appreciate its atmosphere. Unfortunately, this time, I had a disappointing experience during check-in. I booked a room with two separate beds through Hotel.com and received a confirmation for it. However, upon checking in at the reception, the manager on duty was extremely impatient and treated us unfavorably. When I arrived at our room, I found that we had been assigned a king-size bed instead, which did not match my booking. I then returned to the reception and requested either a room with separate beds or at least an additional mattress. Unfortunately, my request was rudely denied by the manager. Later, we spoke with a housekeeping staff member who informed us that the bed could easily be separated into two single beds. The staff member was very kind and helpful, which we greatly appreciated. This made it even more difficult for me to understand why a manager at such a prestigious hotel like the Maritim treated us so uncooperatively. I hope you will look into this matter and ensure that such experiences do not happen in the future. "
