I go to Lava several time a year and this in my new favorite place to stay! It was great! I would love to visit during the summer to take advantage of the patio in the back. Great people!
This place is adorable! We had a great time. The room was cute—we definitely want to stay again and try a different one. The outdoor area is super nice and the breakfast was yummy. We’ll be back!
The only issue we had, was that our room was so close to the lobby, we could hear talking and noise at inconvenient times. Otherwise, cute place and clean and good location. The breakfast was also nice.
We absolutely loved everything about this place. Rooms were clean, welcoming. It was very nice to have a full kitchen/fridges to utilize for our stay. They a had nice simple breakfast and coffee. Staff were so friendly. We would definitely recommend and come back .
This place was great! Clean rooms, comfy bed, and a very nice hot tub. One thing the shower needed was bleach into the drain because it was stinky. other than that it was a great place to stay. We will definitely be back.
Very clean room in a renovated home made into like a B&B at the West end of town. The room and bath are small but the bedding is extremely comfortable with a large TV.
Breakfast was simple and delicious. I couldn’t ask for more. The staff is the beat, they make you feel at home and they are super respectful with your space. Room was cozy and warm. Bathroom is clean. I left knowing I will come back!!!
The room was small but perfect for a little quick weekend getaway. Shower was very nice and it was super quiet in the building. It was more like a comfy Air B&B than a hotel and was very nice. Would stay again!!

The Dracula room was fun . Although we could not get the tv to play a single channel not even YouTube. After a few hours of trying we gave up on the tv. The breakfast was awesome as well as the coffee. I would stay here again but make sure the tv worked first. It has a very friendly staff as well.
The Shakespere room was good, if you leave the window open, be prepared for the train horns. If they had the A/C optional for guests to set would’ve great. Water in the fridge for guests would have topped off my requests!!!!
Place was comfortable and clean needs some type of closet or something to hang your coats and shirts. Also, maybe a shelf in the bathroom would be nice for make up bags.
Peaceful and quiet the room was nice, i liked the theme rooms but i would have like to pick which room i was in based on the themes. To have the book the theme is based on would have been a nice touch. The hot tub never heated up which was part of why wew chose the hotel.
The bed was terrific- very comfortable and great job remodeling from previous use. The kitchen was thoughtfully appointed with coffee and condiments. The french press was nice.
Suggestions:
Remove the (temple and LDS) stuff
There was a smell that felt "old" - try to remedy that
This was one of the cutest places I've stayed at. You walk in and it looks like a cozy library (hence the name). There are books everywhere. In front of you is a white board with suggestions and people's comments. In the corner is a very well appointed coffee, tea and cocoa bar. The room was very nice with a great bathroom. Outside is a hot tub, grill and fire pit. The seats were well worn, but still comfortable.
The kitchen was great with a large stove and cooktop. It's the type of place you could stay for an extended period and feel like home. My only slight complaint is that breakfast was supposed to be served at 7. It didn't come out until 7:30.and the milk was expired for the cereal. We were on a bit of a tight time schedule, so it did put a small kink in our plans. But overall, fantastic and I would stay again in a heartbeat!
Although it is beautifully decorated—a great idea—and the beds are comfortable the walls are so thin you can hear most everything going on around you. Instead of a signed book ear plugs should be provided. (Although we never got the book either…)
Ps—albeit, not the owners fault but we had neighbors fighting at 2am and we could hear all of it as if living in the same house with no privacy or separation.
