We arrived at 8pm, the concierge didn’t bother talking much more than the very basics. We asked about the facilities and only then he bothered telling us that they were closed to renovations. So you book a Resort-Hotel, paying more than the others in the region hoping to use their so famous hot tub and 33c heated pool to only get told it was closed when you arrive? He also pointed us to the restaurant. Mind you it was 8pm and he didn’t bother telling us that it would close soon. We were 2 tourists women left with no place to eat in a ghost town. If he had told us it closed at 9pm (who knows what time that closed to be honest), we would have hurries instead of showering before heading there. Anyone, it was extremely disappointing the whole experience and we didn’t even get an “apology” for their facilities being closed, it was more of a “yeah not happening today” reaction from the coinciergs.

Loved this property for its location and spa/pool. The hotel needs a bit of TLC on the outside and the rooms could be updated a bit but totally offset by the spa/pool area. The spa/pool area had a main pool with waterfall/spray, sauna, steam room, hot/cold plunge pools, cold bucket, quiet area with beautiful views of the mountains and an outdoor hot tub with the same stunning views. Also could book massages. It is conveniently located in Wengen and short distance from train. Rooms were clean. Pool area could use a bit more attention but it was acceptable. View from room was also stunning. Overall really enjoyed our stay and would return.

The staff were incredible and the property was beautiful. The staff helped us have a wonderful time and were so friendly and helpful. The property and room was comfortable and located close to the train. The views fr the property were breath taking. The spa was an incredible addition and was clean and such a nice treat. Cannot recommend Arenas enough. Thank you!

A very friendly hotel with excellent location. It provides a wonderful swimming pool for exhausted guests to relax after their one-day mountain hike. Its staffs were so considerate that you simply felt stay home.

The hotel was fine but in need of refurbishment in some areas. The indoor pool was great after a days walking. One problem to report however. We booked a comfort double room which clearly showed a balcony and was listed as bigger than a cheaper economy double but the hotel reception tried to put us in an economy double only moving us to a comfort room after my complaint.

Conveniently located by the train station so it was easy to find and get to the property with lots of luggage. The pool is amazing and the rooms were spacious. Breakfast was excellent too.

One step above camping. Beds are hard. Property is old. No AC. Hotels have one job: comfortable night sleep. Unfortunately, I did not have that here.

The property is close to the train station, but so are all other hotels in Wengen. This hotel is in dire need of updates, and the worst part is that the rooms and bathrooms are ridiculously small!

Absolutely amazing. Family of 5 stayed in a family suite overlooking Lauterbrunnen valley and the Alps sky line. Pool, hot tub , bar , everything was perfect. Great for kids and the town is super safe and fun to walk around.

Older hotel- could use some updates. Staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. Location is amazing! View from the room was fantastic. Would not stay there again. Lots of other cute hotels in the town.

We were waken up by the constant knocking at our door at 2am and we asked who was it but no one answered. Then the knocking came back to our door still no one responded. We called the reception but no one answered and then we had to call the emergency number. Afterwards it quieted down. In the morning. We were told it was a child looking for the parents; and nope the knocking doesn’t sound like a young kid’s knocking. It was very loud and rhythmic knocking. Also the pillow smelled very very bad!

Game room is not good as either you have to pay or broken facility. Pool closed at 8 which is too bad as we do need hot tub after a day trip back around 8. Front desk staffs are friendly. Everything is way tooooo expensive.

Lovely site. We enjoyed particularly coming back from hiking and having the hot tub, sauna and pool access. Loved our balcony to sit and read in the AM. Great location.Good service. Only reasons for not excellent was the service in the am buffet breakfast was a bit slow in re-stocking during busy times. We understand this is a difficult process to predict and the breakfast was excellent in terms of choices.

U can't have a hotel closer than this one, barely 100 meter from train station. They should emphasize this point as their marketing highlight. Excellent location, great breakfast and other amenities.

I loved this hotel. It was very near the train station so transporting my luggage was very easy. The employees at the hotel were very pleasant and helpful. The area around the hotel was nice and well-kept. The room was clean and tidy and had breathtaking views. The small town of Wengen was lovely and walkable with shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!
