The room was clean & breakfast was basic but good. However, no microwave provided in the room. Also, no iron was available to press the clothes. The sink in the bathroom was too small to be useful for anything.

My stay was good. Breakfast a bit simple. I dmit, when I book a B&B I expect more contact with the owners. It is a while ago that I was in a B&B... I presume I am old school and this formula changed over the years.

It is a lovely old house with lovely rooms The bed was great and more than enough pillows and a warm feeling to it. The ensuit/bathroom is small but more than adequate. The stairs are a little steep and you need to take care if like me you're an older visitor. I slept very well. Will visit again!

We stayed here on our arrival to Launceston and then again on our return to Launceston so we could fly home. Set in a convenient location we had a comfortable bed and continental breakfast was included. There is plenty of on street parking and we slept well.

Accommodation was very good with decent facilities , room was smallish but equipped well. Only let down by the thick dust in the bathroom on the lights over the sink and very dusty extractor fan , the rest of the room was very clean and dust free. The breakfast was also very welcome

Hillview House was convenient to the CBD, nice and quiet and had everything we needed for our stay in Launceston. The bed was comfy and room had a nice view. Breakie was an added bonus.

The 1840 building was very well preserved. Nice view at night. Breakfast was alright. Very comfortable bed. Toilet door doesn't lock properly though.

Hillview House is a unique old guesthouse, rooms are a good size, comfortable and nicely decorated with ensuite bathroom, views of the hills & city.Well maintained , pretty breakfast room with continental breakfast provisions.A pleasure to stay in such an old but sturdy historical building.Glad the old fireplaces were kept , even in bedrooms, as a feature but not used.

Good location as in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Had to negotiate too many stairs to access room. Steps to bathroom could be hazardous, a ramp would have been a better option. Continental breakfast was ok but cramped breakfast room.

Lovely but not great

Lovely room but no air conditioning for a hot day which was disappointing. Bed also was disappointing as I moved every time my husband moved. Fresh fruit for breakfast would be great too.

What a charming address with wonderful view of the CBD and Tamar river. My room was very clean, had everything I required. My welcome and checkin was seamless. Continental breakfast was fine; other guests were relaxed and chatty that was pleasant. I would stay again as the tariff was very good for the venue.quality.

Room was spacious, clean with comfortable beds. Location was great. The let-down was the noise from the adjoining room and upstairs room where we could hear crackling from the ceiling when anyone walked above us. This was despite the residents being considerate. Probably the limitation with an old house.

I felt it was dirty mould in shower which with a little bleach would of cleaned it up Room service was pretty relaxed the bed was just pulled up not made it was vacuumed that's very limited services in the room very old for the money breakfast room near an clean I think you would get better rooms in a hotel for the same price

Helpful early access & ground floor room assisted my disability. The decor and breakfast could definitely do with elevation. Other visitors grappled with no taxi info- better to have a wall of various such info of use to guests.
