"We had a wonderful stay in the ground-floor studio at Ballas Apartments. The courtyard is amazing, and the views looking across Agia Effimia harbour are absolutely incredible. Stavros was an exceptional, genuinely helpful host who went above and beyond at all times to ensure we had the best holiday. Location-wise, it’s ideal—we easily drove to Assos and Fiskardo in around 40 minutes. The drive from the airport is straightforward, but a hire car is essential for exploring. "Spacious and clean private space with excellent air conditioning. A nice outdoor area, with a beautiful resident white cat (please consider giving her some treats, she's so lovely!) Quiet and peaceful setting behind a bigger hotel. A very nice shower with waterfall and detachable heads. The only issue was the WiFi not reaching the property, but this probably helped me enjoy the local area more. "Great place, kind hosts and a gorgeous setting! It’s a really beautiful place, and the owners takes great care of it and you as a guest! The location is perfect, it’s a nice little stroll to get to Sami and it’s no longer than 40min to drive anywhere on the island. There are also a lot of things to see and experience in the local area, and only a 5-10 minute walk to the beautiful Melissani cave. "

"Astir was literally across the street from the ocean. I did not have a full ocean view from my room, but I could see it from my balcony on the side of the building. It was a single room, so the bathroom was small, but the bed was comfortable. It was a lovely room for the price. The staff were very nice and friendly. There was a bar open in the afternoon/evening with a wonderful view of the ocean. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again. "

White Rocks Hotel Kefalonia

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely view over the public beach from our balcony. Only downside was smell of someone smoking on a nearby balcony. Room comfortable and clean. Wasn't keen on the window into the bathroom from the bedroom. Even with blind down you can see through to the toilet area. All staff helpful and polite. Liked the different areas around the pool and slope down to tiny beach area. Excellent idea to have a buzzer for staff to take poolside orders. Took advantage of the 8am yoga and pilates classes on the hillside area overlooking the sea. Wonderful start to the day. Only on Bed and Breakfast so evenings we walked to Lassi where there are numerous restaurants and also took taxi to Argostoli on 2 occasions which is just €8 - £10"

"The hotel is clean and in a quiet place with outstanding views over the bay. The staff iare lovely and welcoming , who were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We loved this hotel so much we stayed for a second night in a pool villa which I would definitely recommend doing. We come back to this hotel in a heartbeat and would recommend it to others."

"A fantastic small beautique hotel in the mountains of Kefalonia, ideal for those seeking relaxation away from busy resorts. Great facilities with pool, overlooked by the mountains, pleasent rooms with plunge pools with view of the sea. 10 min walk to local beech, although no beech facilities available, so if seeking beach amenities, may not be the location for you. Fantastic spa facilities, along with a well equiped gym, for those seeking treatments, message or a workout. Overall a fantastic retreat, hiddem gem."
