I found the service welcoming and friendly in the mercados (markets) tendas (convenience stores) and Sodas (small restaurants). Photographers i recommend Dave & Dave's and Frogs Heaven.

We stayed here to break up the drive between La Fortuna/Arenal and Tortuguero. It was a wonderful treat. We went white water rafting one day, and hiked La Selva the other day and then drove to catch the boat in La Pavona to get to Totuguero relaxed
