This was our first impression of Costa Rica.And they definitely made sure that we got a good one. The receptionist and the staff in general were absolutely kind respectful And welcoming. We really care about the property as well.It feels like a little piece of the forest in the middle of the city ...

Staff was friendly and responsive. The location was hard to find in the dark. There was heated mattress pads and a heater for warmth the night we were there. The facilities and property looked beautiful, we were not there long enough to to enjoy.

Enjoy the volcano viewpoints and explore Barva Volcano, a lovely green space in Vara Blanca. Savor the charming coffeehouses and top-notch restaurants while in town.
The Peace Lodge hands down has the best staff I have ever had. We felt like family there. The General Manager, Roy, was our favorite. Freddy at Guest Services, Daniel and Melvin at the restaurants, Henry and John who worked w/ animals were A+ staff!
Beautiful town, a bit too quiet for my taste.
I would highly recommend a trip to this area. Exactly how I had envisioned classic Costa Rica!
