「Stunning location overseeing the Bay. The building is superb but badly in need of a full renovation especially the upstairs hallways. The carpets are threadbare & the walls seriously need replastering notwithstanding this the staff were very attentive & efficient. The food was excellent and the place was very clean. All of the above shouldn’t stop you enjoying staying in a stunning victorian hotel. I am sure the owners will eventually get the decor sorted out.」

「Expedia does not tell you they don’t answer phone calls from foreign numbers & they have no front desk/ staff on site so only way to communicate is thru Expedia. I couldn’t get continental breakfast because Expedia blocks emails & they couldn’t send me payment link. No food or beverage available on site or within walking distance. Food delivery was lame, cash only & no utensils. Decent shower, bed & wifi」

「Very comfortable and spacious room and nice to see the addition of a coffee table, but difficult to find a socket for the kettle which was under the TV on a low shelf. (a really daft place to boil a kettle). It needs a little golden tea trolley to get to a socket on the other side of the room. The internet TV kept freezing, looks like a poor wifi signal. We didn't expect too much from the food, which was bland and forgettable and the buffet breakfast was not much better.」
