Excellent setting. Impressive decor throughout. Breakfast and dinner as good as any hotel I've been to. Only downsides, it seems to be lift out of order on occasion, and I had booked a Superior Room and question that rating, wondering what a Standard Room provides.

Stay was fine - bed was comfortable enough, woken up around 6am because the floor boards creaked so much when the upstairs guests were moving about. Floor boards also creaked in our room - really annoying more than anything. Breakfast was fine - continental breakfast selection was nice, ordered cooked breakfast was a bit cold, thought it would have been fresh but seemed to be taken from a cool enough hot plate.
