Top Lamphey Bishop's Palace Hotel Reviews
Beggars Reach Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Staff really helpful. Room was clean and we had everything we needed."
Portclew House
10/10 Excellent
"A beautiful B&B with tasteful, quality furnishings. The breakfast was really good and the service provided was excellent. The room was made up in the morning which was nice to come back to. My only small criticism would be about smoking on the balcony. Some people sat out there to smoke and we only realised when our room filled with the smell. There was an ash bucket out there so it seems to be allowed. Perhaps something for the owners to consider changing?"
Lovesgrove Country Guest House

"Best place to stay in Pembrokeshire."
Holyland House - Greenacres Estates

"Everything you need to know, but could do with some blackout curtains."
OYO Lamphey Hall

"Only downside is road noise during the day but quiet overnight ,I stayed in June and back again for two nights last weekend."
Old Kings Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I was very pleased with my room as a single traveller. The staff were polite, helpful and respectful at all times. The parking was great, plenty of spaces and space for everyone to use. The food was good quality no ping meals here. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice."
The Coach House hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Very pretty looking coach house placed in the centre of town with its own parking.Extremely clean rooms. Good cooked breakfast to start day. Prefect place to stay while visiting the area."
Hideaway Cottages - Greenacres Estates
10/10 Excellent
"We had a fabulous stay here. The hut is secluded in trees and feels very private. The hut is nicely decorated and the hot tub is fabulous. Easy walk to Manorbier train station to Tenby as we were hiking the coast path so no transport. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back."
The Middlegate Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Good value for money, and I even got a free upgrade from a single to twin room as there weren't that many guests at the hotel. Location is excellent being in the centre of Pembroke, within walkable distance to Pembroke Castle, Pembroke train station, and bus stops. Staff were welcoming when I met them, however, they arrived late for my check-in slot due to traffic (I showed up at 1830 whereas they opened the doors around 1845), which left me panicking for a while as I wasn't told they were running late (and the bar/ hotel entrance/ restaurant was totally shut until they arrived)."

Carew Castle
9.0/10 (40 reviews)
Regarded as one of the most impressive castles in Wales, visitors to Carew Castle can trace the structure’s history from Norman fortifications to when it became an Elizabethan country home owned by Sir John Perrot, possibly an illegitimate son of Henry VIII, before its eventual abandonment in the 17th Century. Several notable features have resulted, including earthworks created by Royalist defenders during the Civil War and window frames dating to Tudor times that were made of imported Cotswold stone that stands out against the local limestone used for the rest of the building.

8.8/10 (75 reviews)

This well-preserved Norman Castle is to be found not far from the pretty seaside town of Tenby. With medieval frescoes visible in the old chapel and a fine gatehouse with intact defensive facilities, despite the inevitable decay caused by the passage of time, this remains a majestic and atmospheric structure.
