"The website and pictures portray the hotel well. It is a relatively small hotel and on first appearances can seem a little dated. However all staff encountered were exceptional, high quality of cleanliness throughout the hotel. Rooms cleaned daily, towels changed daily. Room had everything required. Ample pug sockets, Bed comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was continental buffet style. No hot food. Usual selection of fruit juices, water, tea, choice of coffee's, hot chocolate etc. Choice of cereals, pastries, breads, cakes, cold meats and cheese, selection of fruit and yoghurts. Roof top terrace has lovely views. Only small, but perfect for relaxing on if you get back from sight seeing and have an hour or two to spare and want to sit in the sun and admire the view. The hotel is on a busy road, good supermarket right across the road. A very short 5 minute, max, walk to sea front & promenade where there is an abundance of lovely restaurants and bars. Boat trips from the promenade approx 6 min walk away. Good local bus service was easy to navigate, as were the local trains. 7 - 10 minute, flat, walk from the Railway station. Had a lovely week exploring the local area. Would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Stella again if we are lucky enough to return. Found Rapallo to be a good base, lovely harbour area, good selections of restaurants, bars and shops."
