「The area was lovely, we walked around and explored the park and streets alike. We hadn’t realised the dads army connection, which was a lovely discovery.
Unfortunately at night we were disturbed by loud noises from people nearby the property and obviously outside of your control.」
「This was the 4th time staying at the George and for the last 2 times ive a room with a very small tv.
So s.all on this stay that watching the football i had difficulty seeing who was who and were the ball was.
Otherwise the staff are friendly the meal i had very good.
Next time unless i have a room with the bigger tv screen i wont be able to book.

「After returning to the area after 16 years, we chose this hotel for the personal touch over other chain options. The hotel's staff was amazing and accomodating. They provided great service and every meal was delicious. The Thomas Paine Museum was of special interest and full of information for this history buff. We cant wait to book our next trip.」

「We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bedford Lodge. The staff were welcoming and attentive, the facilities were well equipped and what you would expect at this price point. We made use of the sports club and the bar before heading to a nearby venue for a private event.
The room was well equipped with Molton Brown and Tiptree goods and was very clean. We opted for a superior room for more space and the hope of a better room location.
The only negative was being woken very early by the bass thud...
「Lots of gangs of kids hanging around, and not a safe feeling area. Property lacked basic things that you’d expect in a hotel. No one on site to contact to rectify things. Not a good place to stay. 」

The complimentary breakfast was top rate, lovely choices including cold and hot breakfast options as well as gluten free options. Our room was quiet and well appointed: comfortable bed, spacious room, wardrobe and en-suite bathroom.
Staff were gracious and welcoming.
We enjoyed walking to local restaurants in Newmarket. The Jockey Club is a fantastic place to stay. 」
