As a solo female business traveller, I really appreciate when staff go out of their way, particularly in a busy restaurant. I felt totally comfortable at The Guinness Arms. The room was lovely, a little compact ( I enjoyed hearing the owl at night!) and had great facilities with a coffee machine but no kettle. Breakfast was a real highlight. EV charger worked and set me up with a full battery for the next day.

A lovely stay. The Guiness is very good. We were over an hour early for breakfast, but chef still made us a fabulous sausage sandwich. Loved it.

We had such a lovely stay, we checked out this morning and the place was super clean, beds and pillows really comfortable and lots of coffee/teas in the room. We will definitely be staying again, super close to the town centre of Bury St Edmund’s, just a 15 min drive which was ideal for us! We paid for breakfast this morning which was really tasty and we didn’t have to trek far, just across from the room.
