The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpfull especially the ladies serving in the restaurant at breakfast time. The only minus point is the poor state of the fittings in the bathroom, both the toilet and the bath are in need of urgent replacement.

Stayed here about a month ago - it is an OK place to stay - you know what to expect from GK. Friendly efficient service - comfortable with no real issues. Good breakfast - evening food was wholesome and typical of all GK menus. Have stayed twice before and would stay again - I have found it reliable and so one thing less to worry about when planning a trip away.

Ok hotel . Bar and food was fine. Rooms could do with an update and a re- decoration as they are a bit tired. But they were clean. Room was boiling as it was a warm weekend. No aircon, and with the window open street was quite noisy.

Parking was ok, after we discovered another overflow car park. Room was clean and comfortable. It was so noisy with traffic and people outside our window. Not helped by a coach arriving with tourists at 5.40am,laughing and chatting loudly. I did discover that our window was stuck open in the morning,when I reported to the reception they said oh yes we know several people have complained. No apology from anyone, they just said they're waiting for it to be sorted out. I was really disappointed as I've stayed her a couple of times now.

Amazing service.

Just want we needed staff were fantastic and really went the extra mile to accommodate our early arrival and had the room ready for us. Room was nice and big and comfortable. It is a little dated but generally expected. Breakfast was good also. But staff really made the stay were super helpful and friendly.

Convienient town centre location.

In a convenient location in middle of Thetford. The staff were friendly. Reasonably value for money. Bathroom was dissappointing - water flow for shower poor, towel rail on with no control to turn it off in the middle of summer.Temp control for shower hard to control. General decor clean but a little scruffy.

Great historic hotel. Nice bar too. Lovely river and beautiful little Thetford is nearby. A must for Dads Army fans.

Very disappointing hotel

Everything in this hotel was terrible. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok nothing special for £25 for two people. £105 for one night in a very uncomfortable bed is a joke. The toilet in the common area was clogged with poo We do not recommend this hotel
