"Hotel was a lovely traditional style. Double room was large and well maintained. Private hotsprings were easy to book. Free drinks and snacks available throughout stay. Located next to JR Station on the line headed to arashiyama. Good stop over point. Nice to relax in the onsen after a long day's walk."

"This is a new hotel with lovely rooms and bathrooms and the ubiquitous Japanese automatic toilet. The room had everything we needed, and the lounge downstairs offered hot and cold coffee on tap. While it’s not in the hot tourist part of town (a plus in my view), the location next to Kyoto station is really convenient, especially if you’ve booked one of the tours that start right next door."
