The staff was super friendly and helpful! We asked them for restaurant recommendations and they recommended us spme lovely options (not tourist traps either!). They also helped store our luggage EVEN AFTER we already checked out, just because we didnt want to drag our luggage around while we went out for lunch before we left Kyoto..

The hotel was ideally situated for visiting Fukuoka and was within an easy walk to Hakata station and Canal City. Other places of interest were easy to get to by train. Our room was clean and a typical size for Japan.

The property had both free and paid parking which was a bit odd. As we had larger vehicles we felt it safer to park in the paid parking lot rather than on the spots directly off the street which we may have stuck out of a little ($5 a night). Air conditioning worked in winter (late November) which was amazing. Was overheating and having trouble sleeping at some other hotels which were heat only but not hotel Zonk. Great sleep!
