"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "

"Kyoto Brighton was a high quality hotel our family stayed at during the second half of our Japan trip. One thing that really impressed us was the staff's friendliness and professionalism - very respectful and bowing during each greeting. The hotel was very spacious and the rooms and bathrooms were large to accommodate us 4 comfortably. Location was good - just far enough from the busyness, and they offer a shuttle service which we used multiple times (convenient). The Hotel was right next to the Kyoto Imperial Palace which was beautiful and relaxing place to relax and walk. There is a controlled entry into the main palace areas but it is free and worth the time to visit. We loved how the hotel had different housekeeping options (i.e. trash, towels, supplies only, no making beds, etc...)- all we had to do was pick the options and hang the doortag on the handle. Only thing was that they didn't have laundry machines to do laundry but instead had dry clean/laundry service which was additional costs. We ended up walking 8 minutes to a laundromat which was fine with us. Overall great experience and appreciate the high quality hotel and staff."

"The hotel was excellent in their services. I received complementary upgrade, and the room was spacious. Their breakfast was great; choice from the two set menu, which I chose Japanese set. Very authentic and delicious!"

"Our stay was very nice calmed and relaxed. The onsen was beautiful and very tidy. Unfortunately our room and designated bathroom had a very particular smell and the toilets smelled like urine :( but it didn’t ruin our stay. The host was very very helpful (a bit rushed at times but understandably as he runs the whole place). The food is delicious! You are served a traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner. The host offered a lift to the station twice, if this is the case for you don’t be late like us because being late is a disrespectful act in Japan! (We were 2 mins late, still not a nice thing to do!). Check out is a bit earlier than usual but it was ok, we were charged a hot spring tax per night at the end of the check out which is ok I just understood that was included in the payment (read the facility details) but apparently it was not, We didn’t mind. Overall we found it peaceful and quiet which was what we were looking for anyways."

"Staying at Kamo Residences was an absolute pleasure. Check-in was quick, and the place itself is pure luxury—beautiful interiors, a fantastic layout, designer furniture (high-end, solid and comfy). The full kitchen, washer-dryer, and microwave made everything super convenient. Room cleaning 3 times per day, plus bed turnover while we were out for dinner. Beds are high, thick and comfortable, nice support. We asked for harder pillows, no problem. Sheets and bedding silky. Cleanest hotel I have seen - ever. Dinner was arranged by front-desk who set us up with a two star Michelin restaurant the same day, nice! The hotel arranged a great chauffeur and tour guide for us, taking us to Arashiyama and spending half a day exploring Gion (very friendly and knowledgable gent). Breakfast was custom-made for us—a Kyoto-style bento box, hot and fresh. We’re headed to Tokyo now but will be back for a four-day stay next week. Can’t wait to return. Thank you to Rio, Maru and all the other staff. "

"It was the Japanese spirit people come to experience in their trip to Japan,but rarely do!To look out on that garden whilst having the hotel breakfast especially prepared individually on locally made pottery was a highlight of my visit to Japan.The staff are exceptional in behaviour and manners.This experience in the mountains outside of Kyoto was tryly unique"
