Stay was alright. Room was big, bed comfortable but our experience was tainted by the fact our luggage delivery wasn’t done properly and none of the two staff confirmed a date, emailed us after we checked out to tell us that not only the luggage was still at the hotel (I have it to them the day before in the hope of receiving it at the next hotel 48hrs later…) I was offered to send it straight to the airport but refused a refund or compensation for the stress + the fact that I had to buy clothes as I was left with no luggage for for 2 days which I find disappointing. Other than that, hotel is located in a good spot, bath was enjoyable and comfy , bed very comfy and we didn’t have any cleanliness issues. Our room had a lovely view, we loved that we could use our Netflix and other services on the TV. So it was overall good, just felt the customer service could have been a bit better

The room was large by Japanese standards, but it's not sound proofed, as my room faced the main street, it was very noisy and I had a difficult time sleeping. Also the room was very dark, I would have preferred a lighter environment.

This area really surprised me. It is remote but is beautiful! The resort is very old and needs a good cleaning. The entrance area had a mouldy smell, but the room were VERY big and clean!! Lots of room and liked the decor. I did like the private onsen, but it was not what I expected. It was more of a tube outside on your deck. I was expecting continuous hot water flow like in the public onsen.

Let me start off by saying that the location of this hotel is fantastic. The room we booked, Japanese Western with open air bath, non smoking, was spacious and comfortable and we were able to see the Torii gate from our window. However, there was also peeling wallpaper, a large amount of dust bunnies under the bed and even missing blinds on the window. We had to ring down to the front desk at 9pm to request the blinds be replaced otherwise the building lights would light up the whole room. They promptly attended to the matter, but why they hadn't fixed it prior to selling the room seems like a major oversight. Lastly, if you're looking for a literal open air bath, this is not your place. The window slides open just a crack, therefore, the room title is a bit misleading.
