"A very convenient location for staying in Waimea-- there are two supermarkets and one health store across near by. Several restaurants/coffee shops within a mile and a lovely 1 mile (2 mile round trip) nature path across the street. It is a bit of a drive to Kona or Hilo but still accessible. Email the hotel with your information (email address) even if you intend to check in before 4 PM (flight delays etc) so they can email you with how to check in after hours. Staff were friendly in person and on the phone. In addition to a coffee maker, my standard room had a mini fridge which allowed me to store snacks/produce w/o fear of spoilage or pests."

"I like the location for the things I like to do. The climate is wonderful. Its quiet and clean, the lack of standard services offered by similar establishments is offset by the availability of services such as resturants, shops, groceries, gas stations, etc, all within walking distance. I also like the plantation motif. Great place- "

"The beach on the property was awesome. The guys on the ATV's on the beach need to minimize there trips past the chairs with umbrellas, they went back and forth too much. They also need to travel down the sides of the chairs not through the middle divide of the chairs. "
