We stayed in one of the apartments for a night and it was really cozy. It was Christmas so there was even a little Christmas tree in the living room. Well located only a couple of minutes walk from the city core.

City Residence provides excellent value. We had a full apartment, with kitchen, living area and bedroom. Staff at reception were extremely helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, a five minute walk to the centre of the old city with a rich choice of grocery stores, cafes, bars and restaurants.

City Residence Apartment Hotel is the way to go

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff we were all so friendly and went out of their way to make sure my stay was a pleasant stay. I really enjoyed the breakfast each morning, and having my own in-room sauna that could have sat 3 people comfortably was a delight at the end of each day. If I ever travel back to Kosice, I know where I will be staying.

Great service, comfortable beds

We had a lovely stay in this apartment hotel. With 3 of us, the one bedroom suite with the living room sofa bed converted (and 1 bathroom) worked well for us. Beds were so comfortable, we were offered a pillow menu too, which was helpful. Minor issue was that the AC unit in the bedroom was not working, and while the one in the living room did work, that did not help us in our room! Luckily the weather wasn't awfully hot, so we managed with window ventilation. We did also notice a soft spot in the hallway floor between rooms, it flexed a lot which pinched bare feet, so bring slippers. We loved the breakfast options, coffee, the fresh-squeezed orange juice. The staff were wonderful, spoke great English and were very helpful. We would recommend and stay here again.

Really amazing hotel and staff.

Wow - Was excited to stay here after seeing the pictures and reviews and was not dissapointed. Was in the city for a weekend break. Hotel check in was quick and we actually got our room very early as we arrived just before midday. Room was very good. Private suana, jacuzzi and heated floors. Rooms were huge. Apartment had everything we needed. Hotel staff were very helpful too. We had two amazing breakfasts. All in would highly recommend this hotel if you are in Kosice.

I was shocked upon checkin to find that they do not have a lift. However staff were helpful in carrying bags. But the stairs themselves were uneven and therefore difficult to navigate especially as the railings were covered in garland for Christmas. The room we had was a two bedroom apartment. It is very large with a huge main bathroom, kitchen and living room. The best feature was the sauna that accommodates three easily. As it was Christmas, the hotel had several parties booked. Even being on the top floor the noise from the crowd reached our apartment and lasted past midnight. The worst feature though were the beds. Very stiff and therefore did not make for easy sleeping. Checked out early as we just didn’t feel it made for a relaxing stay.

The staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly - they made a big difference between an average stay and a terrific stay. With separate large master bedroom, large lounge room, kitchen and large bathroom, the apartment (No 7) was very spacious, if anything, a bit too spacious (e.g. 20 metres between bed and WC, 6 metres between couch and TV), but this is not really a complaint - it is always better to be too spacious than insufficiently spacious. My colleague (Mr Klaus Nehyba) in Number 8 had the same number and types of rooms but with a shower recess and a sauna, but his area was half that of Number 7, and it seemed to be more comfortable for that. Amenities were mostly very good, showering from inside a bath tub is always undesirable for me, and the water pressure at 8:00am was too low to operate the shower, but it was fine in the evening. I showered in the evening and used a basin wash in the morning. The cafe bar and food were excellent.

I highly recommend

I was very impressed with all the wonderful young women that were working during our 3-night stay. They were very focused on our comfort and happiness the entire weekend. It’s because of them that I am giving a 5-star review otherwise I would take off one star for the shower issue. The overhead shower was broken and all we had was the handheld wand that only pointed horizontally when sitting in the holder. With one shower door missing it made a big water mess in the bathroom when we showered. However, all the women working throughout the weekend apologized and did everything in their power to show us they cared about the situation. The other thing that I want to point out is how clear our room was. I am very impressed that the kitten that we adopted and picked up in Košice went under the closet and came out clean. I figured he’d be covered in dust and there wasn’t anything on him. They were also very considerate of our situation with our new kitten. I can highly recommend staying here to anyone. Just note, that they do not have an elevator.

A decent place to stay for a few nights.

The unit was spacious and fairly clean. The lack of an elevator makes it tough to lug heavy luggage. Street parking was plentiful, but you must download an app. The location is close to old town and very convenient.
